IMMORTALIZED
GREATNESS AHRI SKIN
What lies beyond greatness? This project made our team proud to be part of something so amazing. Once again partnering with Riot Games, we launched the trailers for Ahri's new skin and the first Hall of Legends for LoL.
The Hall of Legends is about honoring and immortalizing pro players who've made a big impact on the game, celebrating their journeys and contributions to esports. The first to be immortalized is Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, the greatest League of Legends player ever. Now, he has his personal skin—Immortalized Legend Ahri.
We handled all aspects of cinematography, including animation, models, look development, and textures. Following a traditional CG animation pipeline, we went through storyboards, animatics, concept art, and style frames. Once pre-production was set, we moved to 3D model production. Our dedicated team textured and finished the 3D models with care, adding realistic shaders for a unique CG look. The toughest part was simulating clothes, hair, and 3D effects. After completing the animation, we added impactful 2D visual effects inspired by traditional Japanese animation, bringing dynamism and originality to the final look.
The team worked hard to deliver a result worthy of the League of Legends universe. It was a challenging project, but seeing the final piece come together and the positive reaction from the audience made it all worthwhile.
